Ruth Fernandez

Ruth has spent 25 years in the newspaper industry with the Houston Chronicle, a newspaper belonging to the Hearst Corporation. She served as the Director of Classified Advertising in her last years with the Houston Chronicle where she led the call center to handle multiple Hearst publications classifieds, obituaries, celebrations, and legal advertising.  Before her transition to advertising, she started her career in the circulation department as a call center representative and transitioned to Training and Development.

At iPublish, Ruth is a Senior Applications Specialist working closely with the Project Managers and other members of the company to implement self-serve portals and obit desk manager system.

Ruth joined the iPublish Media Solutions team in January 2024. She is a mom of three and a grandmother of two.  In her spare time, she enjoys fishing, visiting with friends and family, traveling, and volunteering.
